When I was pregnant, especially during those final few weeks, I found myself reading and watching birth stories whenever I could. I was fascinated by how different every experience was and, rather than making me nervous, they made me excited for what was to come. Each story reminded me that there isn’t one “right” way to give birth, every journey is unique.
After my own births, I wanted to write down every detail while it was still fresh in my mind. It became a way of preserving those memories. The emotions, the unexpected moments and the incredible experience of meeting my babies for the first time. Looking back now, I’m so grateful I took the time to capture it.
But as the days and weeks passed, I realised something was missing.
There were plenty of birth stories, but far fewer honest conversations about what came next. The fourth trimester brought its own challenges, emotions and milestones, and I often wished I could read about other parents’ postpartum experiences as well.
That’s why I created this space.
A place where parents can share not only their birth stories, but their postpartum journeys too. The joyful moments, the difficult days, the unexpected twists and everything in between. Because every experience has the power to help someone else feel seen, understood and a little less alone.
So whether your story begins with pregnancy, birth, recovery or somewhere in between, we’d love for you to be part of this community.
Take a moment to make yourself a cup of tea, settle in and explore the stories shared by other parents. And if you’re ready, we’d be honoured to hear yours.
Every birth. Every journey. Every story matters.
